Shingo Takagi Challenges Konosuke Takshita for Double Title Match at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19

Friday’s Fighting Spirit Unleashed 2024 event for New Japan Pro Wrestling in Lowell, Massachusetts featured one new potential match for the card of Wrestle Kingdom 19.

This new potential match is an AEW International Championship and IWGP NEVER Openweight Championship match of Shingo Takagi (NEVER) vs. Konosuke Takeshita (AEW International).

This potential match was setup following Takagi coming out to the ring following Takeshita’s victory over TJP to retain his AEW International title. Takagi issued a challenge for a double title match at Wrestle Kingdom 19 involving his NEVER Openweight title and Takeshita’s AEW International title. This led to Ishii coming out and pointed to both men teasing his potential involvement in this match or the winner of it.
