Update:
During Saturday’s Countdown to WrestleMania 41 pre-show, Micheal Cole stated that Mysterio is currently a “game time decision” in regards to his status for his scheduled match against El Grande Americano for tonight’s Night 1 event.
As noted before, Rey Mysterio suffered an unknown injury at Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mysterio suffered the injury during a Six-Man Tag Team match between himself, Dragon Lee, & Rey Fenix and American Made. Following the match, Mysterio was helped to the back for medical treatment.
The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported that his sources stated that there has been no new updated regarding Mysterio’s injury nor if he will be able to compete at tonight’s WrestleMania 41 Night 1 event in Las Vegas.
Alvarez reported that is Mysterio is unable to compete, Dragon Lee likely would be the replacement for Mysterio for his scheduled match against El Grande Americano at WrestleMania.
Alvarez speculated that Fenix could also be a possible option but thinks this is less likely under the belief that El Grande needs to win the match and WWE officials wouldn’t want Fenix to lose a singles match this early.
