AEW held a new television tapings for AEW Collision on Thursday at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois
This taping will be for this week’s Collision episode on Saturday, July 19th.
In regards to notable moments from the tapings, Colt Cabana came out to join the commentary team for the show. Later in the tapings, Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir came out and attacked Cabana leaving him bloodied.
Another notable moment included Colten Gunn suffering an apparent injury. During the Four-way $200K Tag Team match, Colten appeared to have tweaked his knee during his brawl with Big Bill and did not return to the match.

- The commentary was Tony Schiavone, Nigel McGuinness, and Colt Cabana.
- TNT Champion Dustin Rhodes was intereviewd by Tony Schiavone in the ring. After some words of inspiration by Rhodes, Don Callis and Kyle Fletcher came out to interrupt. Callis gave Rhodes an offer to join his Don Callis Family, which Rhodes rejected and ran them out of the ring.
- Alex Windsor defeated Taya Valkyrie. Following the match, ROH Women’s World Champion Athena appeared in the balcony and declared it was her time and for Windsor to go to the back. Athena stated that it was time for a new star to be born for for Athena Elite Wrestling to start. Athena then proceeded to mock the crowd and talked in a British accent to mock “Timeless” Toni Storm. This led to Storm coming out and stated she is the only “balcony bitch” and dared Athena to sign her contract and come fight her. Athena responded back rejecting Storm’s offer. This led to Storm running to the balcony but Athena had escaped.
- Billy Gunn ad Anthony Bowens were backstage with Gunn saying that he had a match for Bowens next week that would put him back on track.
- Ricochet defeated AR Fox. During the match, the Gates of Agony came out and aligned with Ricochet.
- Marina Shafir and Jon Moxley came out and attacked Colt Cabana. The Death Riders beat him bloody and Moxley stated that they are just giving the people what they want. Moxley then choked Cabana from the ring with a chain.
- Megan Bayne defeated Tay Melo.
- No winner was given for the $200K Four-way tag team match between Big Bill & Bryan Keith, The Gates of Agony, CRU and The Gunns. Colton Gunn tweaked his knee coming down during an exchange with Big Bill and did not return to the match.
- Max Caster Open Challenge Series match – Kyle O’Reilly defeated Max Caster
- RUSH defeated Katsuyori Shibata. Following the match, RUSH attacked Shibata leading to Powerhouse Hobbs running out to save Shibata.
- Eight-Man Tag Team match – Bandido, Mascara Dorada, & JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & “Speedball” Mike Bailey) defeated Don Callis Family (Hechicero, Josh Alexander, Lance Archer, & Rocky Romero)
