PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that former WWE and TKO Executive Chairman celebrated his 80th birthday this past Saturday with a big party thrown for him at the Gotham Hall in New York City, New York.
Johnson reported that his sources stated that Bruce Prichard, Shane McMahon, WWE Hall of Famers Kane, The Undertaker, Gerald Brisco, Michelle McCool, Jerry “The King” Lawler, JBL, and Sgt. Slaughter, and WWE talents John Cena, The Miz, Titus O’Neil, and Ron Killings were among those in attendance at the party.
In a follow-up report, Johnson reported that musicians Kid Rock and Kelly Roll were among those who performed at McMahon’s party. Johnson also reported that those spoken to stated that security was tight at the event and most in attendance did not stop for photos or autographs when spotted entering and exiting the venue.
Lawler recently posted a photo on Instagram of him at the birthday party that also revealed Drew McIntyre had attended the event.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that the party was intended to be a very private affair with attendees encouraged to only use the professional photographer on hand if they wanted pictures. In regards to Lawler posting a photo from the party online, it was reported that Lawler was later asked to delete the photo.
In regards to the reaction within WWE, it was reported that the general reaction was mixed from WWE talent. One talent who attended the party stated “a lot of people here still feel like they owe Vince something, even though he made his money back on them tenfold.” Another talent spoken to stated that they admitted that there was a “moral conflict” in their decision to attend.
It was reported that many more talent were invited for the party but they chose to not go. It was also reported that the consensus among those who didn’t attend was that if they were in McMahon’s situation, then he would have fired them and never spoken to them again.
Those spoken to reportedly stated that there was no official WWE involvement in the party. It was reported that talent who asked a WWE higher-up if they could or should attend were told that it was “their business.”
WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE President Nick Khan, and Stephanie McMahon reportedly were in not in attendance at the party.
One person who attended the party who had not seen McMahon in years stated that he “looked 80” and seemed more frail and walked slower. This same person reportedly stated that there has been no talks within WWE over McMahon making a potential return in any capacity to the company. High-level WWE officials spoken to reportedly stated that they have no desire to bring McMahon back.
