Jeff Jarrett Offers Invitation to Travis Kelce for AEW Show & Clarifies His Family’s Association with Taylor Swift

Musician Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce announced their engagement on August 26th. Prior to her musical career, Swift had spent time with Jeff Jarrett and his daughters leading to many believing that she was once a babysitter for Jarrett’s kids.

TMZ Sports held a recent interview with Jarrett. One of the topics discussed included Jarrett clarifying the rumors that Swift used to be a babysitter of his kids.

“I can truthfully say, I’d like to say it, but I don’t believe she’s ever been on the Jeff Jarrett payroll, so to speak.”

Jarrett also gave his thoughts about Swift’s past interaction with his family during the time his first wife Jill was battling breast cancer and how Swift played music for about three hours as more people came over to his house.

“It was Christmas of 2006. My first wife was really ill with breast cancer. She passed away about five months after this, so she was really ill and a friend of Taylor said, ‘Hey, why don’t you drop by?’ Obviously, like every little girl in America, my daughters were big Taylor fans. Her songs had just kind of broke, but she was a hometown girl.

I think in a lot of ways, and I’ll get emotional saying this, she kind of bonded with the family, specifically with the girls.”

Jarrett also gave his thoughts about Swift’s fiance Kelce and offered an invitation for him to make an appearance at a future AEW show.

“I would love for Kelce to step into an AEW ring. I would love to have a guitar shot for him. He’s been around music for a while, I don’t think he’s been around a guitar for long. I got a guitar shot for Travis. Hell, I’d welcome him in an AEW ring, I think he can make a lot of noise. It goes without saying, him and his brother are showmen at heart. You can tell it’s in their DNA, which is cool. I wish Travis nothing but success this upcoming year. There is going to come a time when his football career is over and the door will be open at AEW.”
