A recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast featured TNA Hall of Famer Mickie James as the guest. One of the topics discussed included James’ thoughts about the potential of her being inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame and her interest in having another in-ring run for her wrestling career.
“Of course it’s nice, of course it’s nice. I think we all like that appreciation back from the company to say, hey, what you did mattered and we value you, and it is that tip of the hat of like, we know that you put in your licks, we know that you took some sh*t and this, that and the third but, we actually appreciate you and respect you and so, I think that that’s always something where yeah, but, I was having a conversation with someone, they were like, ‘Oh, would you do one more run?’ I was like, ‘Hell yeah. I could do one more run. I got it in me,’ and they’re like, ‘Oh, what do you have to prove?’ And I go, ‘You know what? I’ve been really blessed. I think I set out and achieved all my goals. I don’t really have anything else to prove.’ I don’t have anything else to prove. I think I’ve proved everything I could prove and if anything, it would be like, oh, I can still go with these girls but, you know I can. I can whoop ‘em — all — with a backhand.”
James also gave her thoughts about her induction into TNA’s Hall of Fame and her belief that other people deserved that honor before her.
“I sit back and I go, ‘There’s a ton of people that I think deserve to be in the Hall of Fame, even before me,’ you know? Lisa (Marie Varon), who inducted me, she’s a first-ballot Hall of Famer in every Hall of Fame in my opinion…”
