Mina Shirakawa Comments on Her Chemistry with Toni Storm Being Very Natural
A recent episode of the AEW Unrestricted podcast featured Mina Shirakawa as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Shirakawa’s thoughts about her chemistry with “Timeless” Toni Storm in AEW being very natural and them bonding over the shared loss of the same person Mariah May, known as Blake Monroe in WWE.
“It was very natural because we lost the same person, Mariah May. Mariah May was gone. We lost the same person, so together we can understand what we are thinking and what we’re feeling. It’s very natural. Toni Storm, she was a STARDOM member, so we have that same sense of wrestling, Japanese style, hard hitting. Yeah, it’s easy to understand what she wants to do in the ring. I can understand easily and the same for Toni, she can understand what I want to do in the ring easily. It’s very natural.”

Tony Khan Comments on His Belief AEW Has Closed The Gap on WWE In “Very Meaningful Way”
A recent episode of the Battleground Podcast featured AEW CEO Tony Khan. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts about his belief that AEW has managed to close the gap on WWE in a very meaningful way in 2025 in terms of unspecified business metrics.
“I think AEW is where the best wrestle. I think that we have the best roster of wrestlers in the world today. And we’re putting on consistently awesome shows. This has been an awesome year for AEW. We’re the challenger brand in pro wrestling, and I think we’ve really closed the gap in a very meaningful way in 2025 in a number of key metrics.”
Khan also gave his thoughts about him being so grateful for all of the support AEW has received from its fans and what he believes success would look like five years into the future for AEW.
“I don’t have a crystal ball, but I can tell you my passion for this isn’t going anywhere. It’s been something I’ve been loving and dreaming to do for over 30 years. And now we’ve been doing it for six years in the real world — and I don’t ever want to stop with AEW.
I can’t imagine a better year. And if we can keep doing the things we’re doing right now: having great pay-per-view shows, putting on great Dynamites on TBS, great Collisions on TNT, and keep this partnership with HBO Max going. Maybe hopefully go to some new countries, visit some new territories, expand. AEW’s on now in over 150 countries. And we’ve built this AEW wrestling league into something where they watch it all over the world, and I’m really proud of that. I think we continue visiting some of those places, breaking open new territories.
And here in America, I just want to keep doing what we’re doing, because it’s amazing. To have a wrestling promotion that is a challenger company doing the things that we’re doing, some of them are unprecedented and some of them are things that have not been done in over 25 years.”

Kyle Fletcher Comments on His Mother Laughed At Him When He Told Her He Was Going To Be A Pro Wrestler
A recent episode of the Hammer And Nigel podcast featured Kyle Fletcher as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Fletcher’s thoughts about how his mother had laughed at him when he first told her that he was going to be a full-time pro wrestler for his career.
“Dude my mum laughed at me when I said it, she was like hahaha, then I wasn’t laughing and she went ‘wait you’re serious?’, and then it was kind of like she went (gibberish) ‘ok’ I guess probably not really expecting much to come from it. But then a couple of months later I went ‘ok I’ve applied for my visa now I’m gonna go!’ I think she was not the happiest at first, maybe a little bit scared.”
