As noted before, TNA talent Tessa Blanchard was involved in an online controversy in January of 2020 over a social media post made by Blanchard calling for women wrestlers to support one another. This quickly lead to several female wrestlers criticizing Blanchard for her comments and brought up past instances of Blanchard bullying other female wrestlers and racial slurs she used towards a female wrestler, who was later revealed to be La Rosa Negra. Blanchard was involved in another controversy in 2021 over allegations of Blanchard bullying female talent in Women of Wrestling resulting in her no longer working with the company. Despite the bullying and racism allegations against her at the time, TNA Wrestling brought Blanchard back to their company in December of 2024. Blanchard has denied the allegations against her and later made amends with La Rosa Negra over her past racial slur incident.
In response to several people on Twitter, Blanchard recently denied the allegations of her being a racist and claimed that her past incident has been twisted because of the “social climate.” Blanchard also stated that she was tired of being used as “click bait” and wanted everyone to move on from it.
“I’m not perfect, made plenty of mistakes in my life.. racism is not one of them nor has that ever been in my heart. An incident from 10 years ago has continuously gotten twisted into something that race had absolutely nothing to do with because of the social climate. I’m tired of being used as click bait. Move on.”

Blanchard reiterated her claims of not being a racist when asked a second time by another person on Twitter.
“Nope. Never have been. Let’s move the hell on.”
