As noted before, Pat McAfee has been absent from WWE since this past June with the exception of this past September’s Wrestlepalooza event due to reasons related to him feeling “exhausted” and his commitments at the time with ESPN for this past College Football season.
McAfee recently a Q&A session on Instagram. One of the topics discussed included McAfee providing an update on his current abscense from WWE stating that he does not see a potential return to WWE happening right now and feels that the company has kind of passed him by.
“I don’t think you ever say never, you know? Specially with WWE, but right now it does not feel like it is something that’s supposed to happen. Feels like that business has kind of passed me by a little bit. Grew up loving it, dreamed to work in it, geeked honored that the opportunity to work with the GOAT Michael Cole, but I feel he’s in a good spot without me. I’ll continue to watch!”
While promoting the NFL Free Agency edition of The Pat McAfee show, Pat McAfee said he doesn’t see a return to WWE happening for now.
