New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that NJPW World Television Champion Konosuke Takeshita will be making an appearance at their New Japan Cup 2026 Finals event on March 21st at the Aore Nagaoka in Nagaoka, Japan.
It was announced that Takeshita will be competing in a match at their upcoming event. No opponent was given for Takeshita’s scheduled match as part of the announcement.

New World TV Champion returns
At New Beginning USA in Trenton NJ on February 27, Konosuke Takeshita captured the NJPW World TV Championship after his title match with El Phantasmo went into overtime at the request of the former champ, and the Alpha put away ELP with Raging Fire.
