Sycho Sid’s Son Says WWE Hall of Fame Induction Was Disappointing & “Disrespectful As Hell”
Friday’s 2026 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada featured the late Sycho Sid, real name Sid Eudy, being officially inducted as part of this year’s class of inductees.
Sid’s induction was inducted into the Legacy Wing along with the late Bad News Brown and was only given a video tribute for his induction instead of someone speaking on his behalf to induct him due to WWE’s current policy for inducting wrestlers who have passed away.
Sid’s son Gunner Eudy, who had attended the ceremony, recently reflected on Facebook criticizing WWE’s decision to not honor his late father with an actual induction speech and stated the way his father was treated was disrespectful as hell.
“Thank you to everyone for all the love and support you’ve shown our family. It means the world, and I appreciate every single person who had my dad’s back.
Last night’s so-called “Hall of Fame induction” for my father, Sid Eudy “Sycho Sid” “Sid Vicious” was straight up disappointing and disrespectful as hell. I’m glad my dad was big enough to put himself over even in death, because WWE damn sure wouldn’t.
I didn’t see one single ad for him here in Vegas. The Hall of Fame gift shop had zero merch for my dad not a damn thing, But they were loaded with all the Dennis Rodman crap you could want. It felt like they just swept him under the rug like a footnote, rushing to get him out of the way.
Maybe if we had waited another 20 years until all those jealous, insecure ex-colleagues were gone you know the ones who could never match his athletic ability, his looks, or his unbreakable will power to tell them “no” he would’ve finally gotten the full induction he actually deserved.
Still, I’m trying to stay positive for my son’s sake: I got to bring him, and he doesn’t know they did his grandpa dirty. He just got to see his hero honored. That moment with my boy made it worth it. And at least we walked away with the real Hall of Fame ring I’m adding pictures of it here because that’s something solid we can actually hold onto while the rest of this felt like a slap in the face.
Rest in power, Dad. The Master and Ruler of the World got his flowers… even if WWE tried to shortchange you one last time. They were always jealous.
Congratulations to Bad news Brown and Sid Vicious and Demolition.”
Paul Heyman Comments on WWE’s Original Main Event Plans for WrestleMania 42
Paul Heyman recently released a new video on his Instagram account featuring him being interviewed by his son Jacob. One of the topics discussed included Heyman’s thoughts about if he is upset he is not part of the main event for WrestleMania 42 and revealed what was WWE’s original plans for WrestleMania 42’s main events matches.
“Yeah, it pisses me off. I don’t think it’s a big secret that everything was driving this year to be Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns, and then that fell apart. Then it was going to be Bron Breakker vs. CM Punk, and that fell apart. I was in line to be part of the main event this year, but fate intervened not once but even twice. I’d be less than candid if I didn’t admit that I take great pride in the fact that the most heavily anticipated match this yes is what I call the real main event of WrestleMania: Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi, but history won’t record that as the main event.”
This weekend’s WrestleMania 42 event is currently scheduled to featured the Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes match for the Undisputed WWE Championship for the main event of Night 1 on April 18th and the Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the main event of Night 2 on April 19th.
