As noted before, Kairi Sane was released from WWE this past Friday as part of a larger batch of talent releases and departures. Sane’s release was speculated to potentially have been due to her constant traveling back to her home in Japan at least once or twice per month since she had first signed with the company. Sane was confirmed to have traveled back to Japan following her departure from WWE.
Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources stated that Sane had “kinda indicated she wanted to move back” to Japan. Meltzer speculated that could have been a factor in WWE’s decision to release her as part of the recent roster cuts.
Sane responded earlier today on Twitter about the rumors and reports regarding her release from WWE stating that she never walked away and gives her all in everything she does.
“What I can say is I know there’s been a lot of speculation, but I truly love this work, my teammates, and my fans. I’ve never walked away, and I’ve given my all in everything I do. I hope you’re all doing well.”
