Nashville Placing Bid To Host WrestleMania 44 in 2028 Update

As noted before, the city of Nashville, Tennessee recently put in an official bid to WWE to potentially host WrestleMania 44 in 2028.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE is currently in active negotiations with Nashville officials about the potential of bringing WrestleMania 44 to the city.

It was reported that the new Nissan Stadium is currently expected to be the venue used if Nashvile were to get WrestleMania 44. This stadium, which will be the new home of the Tennessee Titans, is currently expected to officially open for the 2027 NFL season.

Those close to the situation reportedly described the deal as being at the finish line and that Nashville government officials were hopeful the event would be announced soon.

Thompson reported that United Kingdom-based Hustle Wrestling Training had recently revealed on Instagram that Safire Reed, Daemon Atlas, Gia Taylor, Austin Milward, and Ema Corsi were among those who have been invited to this upcoming new tryout.

Hustle Wrestling Training also revealed that this upcoming new tryout will be taking place in the United Kingdom.

ESPN Reportedly “Pleased” & “Enthusiastic” About Possibility Of Stephen A. Smith Getting Involved With WWE

As noted before, WWE’s promotional work for WrestleMania 42 week earlier this month included Danhausen making a surprise appearance on ESPN’s First Take show and cursed ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith following banter between the two.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that ESPN is “pleased” and enthusiastic” about the possibility of Smith getting involved with WWE as part of the working relationship between the two companies.

It was reported that Smith has a “close relationship” with members of WWE’s parent company TKO Group and there is currently an expected payoff to his involvement “coming this summer, likely as part of a tie-in with WWE programming ahead of a big time PLE.” This event likely could be this August’s SummerSlam 2026 event in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
