This past April’s WrestleMania 42 event in Las Vegas, Nevada featured several celebrities and social media personalities making appearances or competing on the show. These were Pat McAfee, Jelly Roll, IShowSpeed, and Lil Yachty. The general reaction from online fans over the amount of celebrity involvement in both the build leading to WrestleMania 42 and event itself was mixed with McAfee generating very negative reaction over his involvement in the Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes feud.
Besides WrestleMania 42, Danhausen had recently gotten involved with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, Logan Paul had recently gotten involved with Pro Football Hall of Famer Tom Brady, and Jey Uso had recently gotten involved with rapper Cam’ron.
Fightful Select reported that their sources within WWE stated that the company is “extremely happy” with all the celebrity performances at WrestleMania 42.
Those spoken to reportedly also stated that celebrity involvement in WWE shows won’t be stopping anytime soon.
It was reported that while the amount of celebrity involvement after WrestleMania 42 is expected to decrease, WWE officials currently have plans for additional celebrities to be involved in WWE programming in the future, including this summer for SummerSlam 2026.
In regards to Brady, it was reported that he was contacted regarding possible involvement with WWE and for WrestleMania 42 but it is currently unknown why that did not lead to anything.
