CM Punk Comments on Why He Took Time Off From WWE Following WrestleMania 42
As noted before, the July 6th episode of WWE RAW in Rosemont, Illinois featured CM Punk making a surprise return and defeating Sami Zayn to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion. Prior to his return, Punk had been absent from WWE since this past April’s RAW After Mania show due to a recent “schedule change” and WWE changing their post-WrestleMania 42 plans for him after moving Gunther to SmackDown and Jacob Fatu to RAW.
ESPN New York held a recent interview with CM Punk. One of the topics discussed included Punk’s thoughts about his reason why he took some time off from WWE following his match against Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42.
“In my business, in this company… for me to be able to say that I had time off and it wasn’t due to injury or surgery is remarkable. It was the first time in my career I had time off without having to get surgery or be injured. I just hung out with my wife. I had a… I’m not going to say a rough year, you know, because suffering is relative. I was World Heavyweight Champion on RAW for quite some time, and during that entire time I was champion, I had at least three or four people who were very close to me pass away. Each time, I was at work the next day. I didn’t talk about it publicly. I showed up partially because it helped me. Being here amongst my road family and being able to connect with the fans on that level helped me get through it, but there was still some stuff I needed to process. So, my time away was just to kind of reset. One day away from my wife is one day too many. I’ve been with her every single day, and now that I’m back I’m champ, and I’m on the road. I’m as full time as full time gets. If you’re upset that I was mourning some dead friends, I think that’s a you problem. We should celebrate people taking some time for themselves.”

Roman Reigns Comments on His Wrestling Career Future
A recent episode of the Nightcap podcast featured WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Reigns’ thoughts about the future of his wrestling career and his belief that he has a few more years left wrestling at the level he is currently at.
“50!? I definitely have a few more years in what I’m doing now. I guess it just depends on what the schedule would look like and you’ve seen other performers — I just talked to Undertaker a few minutes ago and he was like, ‘I’m working more than I did in the past 10 years,’ because he had a very nice schedule but he put in a lot of work to get to that point so, I guess it just depends with that. I guess it depends on what the outside projects look like but I definitely feel comfortable with a couple to three more years of just elite-level, top performance. I’m still in my prime. I still feel very good. I think it just gets to the point of where do I wanna put my attention. I have a lot of children. I wanna be able to give back that time to my wife that she’s sacrificed while I’ve chased this dream. So, I think in three years or so, we’ll be able to figure out exactly what I wanna do and what are gonna be the variables that make me do that. How’s my body feeling? Where am I at mentally? Where am I at spiritually? Where’s my family at? Where are my children at? What are they doing? What’s the schedule look like for them? So, we’ll see but I still feel good y’all.”

Logan Paul Provides Update on “Big” Bronson Reed’s Recovery From Distal Bicep Tear Injury & Return Plans
As noted before, “Big” Bronson Reed has been out of action for WWE since this past February due to a distal bicep tear injury and surgery.
A recent episode of ESPN’s First Take show featured Logan Paul as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Paul providing an update on fellow The Vision member Reed’s recovery from his distal bicep tear injury.
“The problem is I just want to deliver. You know what I’m saying? I want to deliver. The Vision is stronger than ever. Austin Theory, now Maxxine Dupri, Bron Breakker, me. Bronson Reed’s going to be back soon. With the Wise Man Paul Heyman, bro, do you understand the roster we’re looking at? No, this is insane. This has never happened before in the WWE. An absolute unit moving through everyone in the way. We are on the verge of that. The Vision is about to take over. I promise you. I promise you. I just need another three to four months.”
