WWE Crown Jewel 2026 Event Status Update – New Venue Announced & Tickets Back On Sale For Event, Potential New Match Plans

WWE is still currently scheduled to hold their Crown Jewel 2026 event on November 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This upcoming event’s status in Saudi Arabia has been uncertain following the United States Department issuing an official update this past September to their existing Level 3 travel advisory in regards to Saudi Arabia over the on-going Iran War. The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh had issued a security alert earlier this month warning their citizens in the country following missile attacks from the Houthis on the King Khalid International airport that left several dead. The U.S. State Department had issued an order last week requiring all non-essential diplomatic personnel and their family members to leave Saudi Arabia immediately due to the volatile situation. Riyadh Season recently announced the event would be moved to a new venue but did not mention where the new venue would be at the time.

Riyadh Season provided an update earlier today on Twitter confirming that WWE’s upcoming Crown Jewel event will still be taking place in Saudi Arabia and announced The Venue (ANB Arena) as its new location.

This is the same venue that this Saturday’s Canelo Alvarez vs. Christian Mbilli boxing match for Zuffa Boxing will be taking place in.

It was also announced that tickets for this upcoming event are back on sale again.

In regards to potential new match plans for the card of the event, Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that WWE officials did have plans at one point for a singles match between Finn Balor and Gunther to be added to the card of Crown Jewel.

Online speculation of this match being added originated from photos from workers constructing the makeshift stadium posted online showing posters of the different scheduled matches. A poster for a Balor vs. Gunther match was among those shown quickly leading to speculation of the match being added to the show.

Meltzer reported that if this match ends up not taking place, then it would just be a case of plans being changed and the people working on the stadium still had the old scheduled lineup for the show.
