Sting Turns 50 Today, Lockdown Theme Revealed, iMPACT!

» TNA is teaming up with Bill Corgan and The Smashing Pumpkins as “Bullet With Butterfly Wings” is the official theme song for the Lockdown pay-per-view event. TNA Wrestling issued a press release regarding the partnership at TNAWrestling.com.

» It appears TNA will be releasing a “Global Impact 2” DVD after all reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The TV special on Spike TV, which surprisingly we still do not have an air date yet, will feature three matches from the January 4 Tokyo Dome show featuring The Motor City Machineguns vs. Yujiro & Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Jr. Tag Team Titles, Team 3D vs. Togi Makabe & Toru Yano for the IWGP Tag Team Titles and the match that will be presented as the main event (when it wasn’t) with Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash, Riki Choshu & Masahiro Chono vs. Giant Bernard, Takashi Iizuka, Tomohiro Ishii & Karl Anderson. The plan as of now is that after the show airs they will build a feud between The Machineguns and Yujiro & Naito with the IWGP Jr. Tag Team Titles up for grabs most likely.
