Cody Rhodes Says He Wants To Lead Team USA For 5-on-5 Survivor Series Match at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2026

As noted before, WWE Hall of Famer and AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio recently announced that he will be leading Team Mexico against Team USA in a 5-on-5 Survivor Series match at Survivor Series: WarGames 2026, which takes place on November 28 at the Daikin Park in Houston, Texas.

Following his victory over Randy Orton at Saturday’s WWE Crown Jewel 2026 event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Cody Rhodes made an appearance during the Crown Jewel post-show. One of the topics discussed included Rhodes’ thoughts about him proposing to lead Team USA for the upcoming Survivor Series elimination match against Team Mexico.

“Rey Mysterio’s over there on Stephanie’s podcast talking about a Team Mexico versus Team USA. Sounds great. He’s gonna lead Team Mexico. I’d love to — Team USA, lead them along, find a team of my own. That sounds like something I’d like to do. Rey Mysterio, if you’re listening to me, let’s make that happen at Survivor Series. Let’s do that; you’re on.”
