Shaq-WWE Backstage Update, Fozzy Set For Huge Event, Bret

— As of this writing, there is no word on the situation between WWE and Shaquille O’Neal. Shaq keeps doing media interviews saying he’ll be at WrestleMania 28 but WWE’s plans for Big Show indicate otherwise. We do know that Shaq was in talks with WWE to appear and sources indicate he was scheduled to appear at next week’s RAW at one point. If Shaq doesn’t appear on that show or isn’t hinted at in some way, he most likely won’t be a part of WrestleMania.

— Chris Jericho’s band Fozzy has been announced to play the Download Festival, one of the biggest rock festivals in the UK. Fozzy will play amidst bands like Metallica, Tenacious D, Killswitch Engage and Corey Taylor. They will take the stage on Saturday, June 9th.

— The Philadelphia Phillies’ AA affiliate the Reading Phillies have announced that Bret Hart will be doing an autograph and photo session on June 15th. He’s also available for a VIP Meet and Greet session for $20. After the game will be a wrestling event from World Professional Wrestling.
