Rey Mysterio Working ‘Safer’ Style + WWE’s Interest In ROH

— In recent months, WWE has shown more interest in ROH and have been learning a lot more about the top United States indy promotion.

— As we’ve been reporting, Roddy Piper’s son Colt Toombs, a current MMA fighter, is interested in joining WWE. Colt currently trains pro wrestling with Lynn Denton, based out of Portland, Oregon. Piper and his son live in the Portland, Oregon area.

— In recent weeks since his return to the company, WWE officials have been having Rey Mysterio work a much “safer” style during his matches. They obviously want to avoid him getting injured again and the feeling is that he’s always been very injury prone. They want to keep him healthy enough to work the WrestleMania 29 pay-per-view as they’ve got big plans for a match between him and Sin Cara.
