Bryan Danielson/ROH Update, SD!/ECW Tonight, ROH/NYC, More

WWE will tape the second part of this week’s WWE Superstars as well as this week’s edition of ECW and SmackDown tonight at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona. As announced last night, CM Punk will take on Jeff Hardy in a Steel Cage Match for the World Heavyweight Championship in this week’s SmackDown main event. Local advanced advertisements are also promoting John Cena & Degeneration X vs. Randy Orton & Legacy in a Raw 6 Man Tag Team Match. As of this writing, I’m unable to confirm that match.

A non-title match between Petey Williams and ROH champion Austin Aries has been added to the September 19th show in Chicago Ridge, IL.

Kenny Omega vs. Claudio Castagnoli has been added to the September 26th event in NYC.

Bryan Danielson’s final matches with ROH have been called, “The Final Countdown Tour”. His final matches will be:

* September 18th vs. Chris Hero in Dayton, Ohio
* September 19th vs. Tyler Black in Chicago Ridge, IL
* September 25th vs. Davey Richards in Boston, MA
* September 26th vs. ROH Champion Austin Aries in NYC
