— As noted earlier today here on the website, a key WWE official is under the impression WrestleMania 29 generated approximately 750,000 North American PPV buys. This is slightly above last year’s event which ended up totaling over 1 million buys.
After WrestleMania 29, WWE noted the event drew a reported $72 million, an increase of about $5 million from last year. This makes WrestleMania an event that has gone from making $20-25 million to around $40 million in a few years. Of the $67 million WrestleMania generated last year, WWE itself took in approximately $36.2 million.
