— WWE announcer Michael Cole will be joining JBL as they attempt to climb Middle Palisades Mountain later this week. In a blog at Layfieldreport.com, Cole says that he will have a “big announcement” if he successfully completes the climb.

— WWE Champion John Cena officially signed up for an Instagram account. Cena told his fans on Twitter on Sunday night that he would be joining the social media platform, and on Monday posted his first photo. Cena tweeted, “Just posted a photo http://instagram.com/p/c7f42MmKNu/

ORIGINAL: Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown brought in 2.49 million viewers, down 10% from last week’s episode. The episode drew a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which was a one-tenth of a point drop from last week.

UPDATE: WWE SmackDown drew a 1.9 cable rating, down 5% from last week’s 2.0 rating. The drop broke a four-week streak of ratings increases.
