UPDATE: Thanks to Sarah Nuffer for texting in the following results prior to and after RAW from the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, IA:
CM Punk defeated Paul Heyman and Curtis Axel in a No DQ, handicap match after this week’s WWE RAW broadcast went off the air. Axel hit a low blow on Punk as Heyman tried to sneak away. After Punk recovered, he hit the GTS on Axel to send the crowd home happy. Following the pin, Punk chased Heyman up the ramp to the back and then returned to the ring and hit Axel with numerous kendo stick and chair shots. Punk’s music hit as he headed to the back and the crowd exited after a long show.
There was no pre-show dark match.
The show was far from a sellout. The entire bottom section was filled but over 50% of the top of the arena was tarped off.
Dark Match:
There wasn’t one.
WWE Superstars (Airing Thursday):
R-Truth defeated Drew McIntyre. Said to have been decent.
Curtis Axel defeated Kofi Kingston. This was for the IC title. Another decent match.
