— As noted earlier, WWE has applied for a trademark for “SmackDown” in the arena of television. The likely explanation for this is that WWE is covering their bases in case they end up moving the show to another night when they renegotiate their deal for the show. As we’ve previously reported, plans are in place for a possible move to Tuesdays where it would air live.
