How WWE Tried To Keep Crowd From Booing Batista

Batista cut a local promo in Omaha last night that aired on the titantron while RAW was on commercial.

During the promo, “Big Dave” talked about being a big fan of baseball and the College World Series, which takes place in Omaha. WWE had him do this to try to get the crowd behind him before he came out minutes later for a segment with Alberto Del Rio.

As evidenced by the reaction he received on RAW last night (a mixed reaction with more boos than cheers), it didn’t exactly work.
