— The rumors regarding CM Punk being released from WWE late last week started backstage when Punk’s real-life girlfriend AJ Lee was given the weekend off. There were a lot of people speculating backstage that the reason AJ left was because her boyfriend had been officially released. This is not the case as Punk is still under contract with WWE but is refusing to come back. It’s described as a “touch and go” situation at this point. Punk is telling close friends that he’s “done” and is not coming back.
