— WWE will announce its first quarter earnings tomorrow, as well as the number of buys for WrestleMania XXVI. Analysts are predicting a $22 million profit for the quarter, and if that number holds up the profits for the quarter, which would be more than enough to cover the dividend payout recently announced.
— The Money in the Bank match on the WrestleMania DVD has been edited to remove Jack Swagger struggling to get the briefcase down. On the DVD he gets it down with no difficulty.
— TNT beat USA last week in the primetime average ratings race with a 2.5 to USA’s 2.4, largely due to the NBA playoffs. SyFy was at 20 with 0.7, and Spike was not in the top 25. That would mean the network’s primetime average was 0.5 or below. Boston vs Cleveland was the number 1 show of the week with a 3.9, with hours 2 and 3 of RAW coming in 6 and 7. 3 NBA games, iCarly and NCIS were ahead of RAW. In the 18-34 age group Raw came in at 9 and 10, though it did better in the 18-49 group where it was at 5 and 6.
— In the UK for the week ending April 24, iMPACT! had 61,000 viewers, which represents a downward trend even without going head-to-head with RAW. The replay drew 48,000. WWE Extreme Rules had 162,000 viewers live. RAW’s Thursday replay had 47,000 viewers, and fewer than that for the live airing. SmackDown!drew 130,000 viewers on Friday. Superstars had 50,000 and NXT had 46,000.
