Ctmirror.org reports that Linda McMahon plans to spend $1.7 million on TV ads in the New York market alone over the final eight weeks of her U.S. Senate campaign. She is doing this in order to reach Connecticut voters who work in New York.
The final TV ad is scheduled to run during the Monday edition of CBS’s Late Show with David Letterman prior to the election on November 6th. Last Sunday, McMahon’s campaign ran a $65,000 ad during a New York Jets game. New ads will air on newscasts, Wheel of Fortune, Dr. Phil, college football, and primetime dramas.
McMahon’s opponent, Chris Murphy, has yet to buy a TV ad in the New York market.
