2K Sports reportedly spent approximately $200,000 to film the Sting commercial for the new WWE 2K15 video game that premiered during last night’s edition of WWE RAW. According to live reports from those in attendance at RAW in Richmond, Virginia last night, the fans boo’d loudly when they figured out that the commercial was just promoting the fact that Sting was a playable character in a video game.
As noted earlier today, WWE felt obligated to come to terms with Sting prior to the airing of the WWE 2K15 commercial that featured “The Icon” on Monday’s RAW. It is believed that both sides have come to terms, as WWE began selling Sting merchandise after last night’s show.
