— Renee Young was the guest on a recent episode of Talk is Jericho and revealed, among other things, the inspiration for her stage name. Young (real name Renee Paquette) said that she resisted the idea of taking on a gimmick name at first but eventually went with it.
She noted that WWE wanted to name her Renee Sterling but she wasn’t high on that, so offered her own options. One of those, of course, was “Young,” which she said came from rocker Neil Young.
