As previously reported, Executive VP of Vikings Stadium said in a recent interview that the Minneapolis stadium will host WrestleMania after it is completed. While at the time WWE had said that no locations for future WrestleManias had been decided beyond Dallas next year, and the Vikings later said the executive “meant to say” they were hopeful to host WrestleMania, a new report says that the stadium is likely to get the event in the next two years.
According to sources, the stadium is “pretty much a lock” to get WrestleMania 33 or 34. Orlando has been pushing for a WrestleMania and the belief is that if Orlando loses out to Minneapolis in 2017, they will get it in 2018. Factoring in is the fact that the event has never taken place near Minneapolis while Orlando hosted one in 2008.
