According to sources, Sony SIX is reportedly helping to finance TNA’s upcoming TV tapings in India as part of a deal to push Mahabali Shera. Selling tickets in India is a very difficult deal; most events there except for cricket are sponsors buying events and using the events to sponsor products because selling tickets to most things doesn’t work well there.
When Jeff Jarrett did Ring Ka King, all of the tickets for the shows were free. When Super Fight League (MMA, which Lashley worked for) ran there they tried to sell tickets, had a difficult time, and started to give away tickets. Several years ago WWE ran a tour there because there were so many people watching their TV in the country, but they did not draw well, and they never went back.
