The recent change in regime at Destination America has some hoping for more of a future for TNA iMPACT! Wrestling and ROH on the network. Destination Americ general manager Mark Etkind recently left the company and the network is currently evaluating all its programming decisions.
Etkind was the executive who called for wrestling to be eliminated from Destination America, which he decided after Dixie Carter sent her now-infamous email to Discovery Network executives where she said he was an idiot for not releasing DVR ratings the way that Spike TV sometimes did.
While there is no suggestion that Destination America will be keeping wrestling, the fact that a new person is in charge means that there is a sliver of hope. At this time though, people in TNA are still under the impression they will finish up on the channel in January, while ROH says they are awaiting word on their future with Destination America.
