ROH Announces More Competitors for Pure Championship Tournament

In a recent episode of the ROH Week by Week series on YouTube, several more competitors were officially announced for Ring of Honor’s upcoming Pure Championship tournament, which is expected to start within the near future.

Kenny King, Dalton Castle, and Rust Taylor were announced as the newest official competitors in the field of sixteen scheduled for the tournament. Taylor will be making his official debut for the company at this tournament.

MLW Files New Trademark

Major League Wrestling recently filed a new trademark to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

A trademark for “MLW Underground” was filed on August 18th for wrestling and entertainment-related purposes. MLW Underground was the name of MLW’s former television series that aired from April 2003 to February 2004 and was later revived as a classic television series for BeIN Sports last month.


Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

Inside the Ropes podcast recently announced that they will be launching a new monthly wrestling magazine starting next month. It was also announced that Kenny McIntosh, Bill Apter, Keith Elliot Greenberg, Brian Elliott, Findlay Martin, and Dan Richardson are among the writing staff for this upcoming magazine series.

United Wrestling Network announced that Chris Dickinson will be making appearances for the company for their upcoming Prime Time Live weekly pay-per-view series.

Dave Marquez, Nick Aldis, and Aron Stevens (known as Damien Sandow in WWE) reportedly will be the lead creative members for United Wrestling Network’s upcoming Prime Time Live wrestling series, according to PWInsider.
