AEW: MJF Expected to Return Soon, 2point0 Sign Extensions, More on WWE Contacting AEW Talent

MJF Reportedly Expected to Make AEW Return Soon

MJF has been absent from AEW since this past June following issues between him and AEW CEO Tony Khan over monetary reasons. Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that AEW officials are currently expecting MJF to make his return somewhat soon. Meltzer reported that the exact timetable for MJF’s return is currently not known but AEW likely want him back as soon as possible to help boost the star power for their shows leading up to the start of their negotiations with Warner Bros Discover for a new television deal later this year.

Meltzer also reported that AEW officials might still have plans for a feud between CM Punk and MJF to take place as part of MJF’s return.
