AEW: All In Day 1 Pre-sale Tickets Sales Update, Jeff Jarrett on Deserving His AEW TV Time, More News

AEW All In Presale Tickets Sales Update

As noted before, AEW sold around 35,000 tickets for the first official day of their presale for their upcoming AEW branded All In event this August at the Wembley Stadium in London, England.

AEW CEO Tony Khan recently reflected on Twitter about the early ticket sales for AEW’s upcoming All In event and provided an update stating they had sold around 36,000 tickets on the first day. Khan also stated that gate revenues from the first day sales were around $4.7 million.

Khan also responded to a reporter from ESPN denying his claims that AEW only scaled their upcoming event to have a max capacity of around 40,000 and implied this was something his former agent and current WWE CEO Nick Khan had told him to say to publicly diminish AEW’s sales success.

Jeff Jarrett Comments on Reason Why He Deserves the TV Time He Has Received in AEW

A recent episode of the Good Karma Wrestling podcast featured Jeff Jarrett as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Jarrett’s reasons why he deserves all the television time he has gotten in AEW.

Emotional connection with the audience (is why I deserve AEW TV time). It’s just that simple and it’s something that, you know, it goes without saying and the naysayers, ‘Oh, he’s done this, he’s done that.’ All you have to do is listen to the people in the arena. They love me. There’s some kind of ‘F you Jarrett’ that they get going on but I think that’s a term of endearment. They absolutely love me but it’s the emotional connection. That will never go away. The moves will continue to get more and more aggressive and more and more athletic. That’s just the nature of the beast. You look at things that will happen (at AEW in the ring) and I don’t use this word lightly, revolutionary. But at the end of the day, the emotional connection with the audience existed 70 years ago and it’s gonna exist 70 years from now. That’s what entertainment is all about and I don’t care if you’re playing NBA basketball, if you’re playing NFL football or if you’re in a Hollywood blockbuster. It’s all about connecting with your audience.

We don’t do a lot of walking on each other, so I really enjoy working with Schiavone and Excalibur and I hope — I’m really comfortable doing that with those guys.” (Transcript h/t: PostWrestling.com)
