Jeff Hardy Makes Surprise AEW Return on Dynamite

Tonight’s AEW Dynamite show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin featured Jeff Hardy making his surprise return to AEW.

During a promo segment on the show Ethan Page demanded to know why Matt Hardy turned on The Firm and cost him a chance at winning the FTW Championship. Page also demanded for Hardy to tell him what was the hidden thing he included in his FTW title match contract.

Hardy and Isaiah Cassidy came out leading to Hardy revealing that he had been manipulating Page and The Firm and the secret term was if Page had lost his match against HOOK, then him and Private Party were no longer bound to The Firm. Hardy also managed to contradict himself afterwards saying that he gets to pick the match stipulation and if him and Cassidy defeat The Firm, then they would no longer be in the group.

An angry Page responded stating that there was more to The Firm than just him, leading to Big Bill and Lee Moriarty running out and attacking Hardy and Cassidy. HOOK then came out trying to save Hardy and Cassidy but he was also beaten down by The Firm. This led to the Hardy Boys music playing revealing Jeff Hardy’s surprise return to AEW. Jeff ran out and attacked The Firm saving his brother, Cassidy, and HOOK. Jeff then embraced his brother in the ring to close out the segment.

Prior to his return, Jeff Hardy had been absent from AEW since this past June due to his suspension from a DUI arrest in Florida. Hardy’s court case over his DUI arrest was closed this past February and Hardy being sentenced to a punishment that did not include any prison time.
