As noted before, Liv Morgan was arrested this past December in Florida for marijuana possession following an erratic driving incident.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that Morgan’s felony charge of possession of drugs, possibly synthetic cannabinoid, was dropped against her on January 2nd based on recent court records. Morgan reportedly was facing the possibility of up to one year in prison, up to one year of probation, and a fine of $1,000 had she been convicted of this charge.
Johnson reported that Morgan’s remaining misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana was transferred to the County’s Misdemeanor Court Division. Morgan reportedly was facing the possibility of up to one year in prison or probation and a fine of $1,000 had she been convicted of this charge.
A status conference related to Morgan’s remaining charge reportedly is currently scheduled to take place on February 20th.
KomoNews.com reported that the reason why Morgan had the felony charge dropped against her was due to the State of Florida prosecutors had no way of being able to prove their case against her for this charge. An Assistant State Attorney spoken to reportedly stated “In order to prove the charge possession of THC, the State is required to prove that the THC came from synthetic sources and was not derived from plant sources. No labs in the State of Florida perform such tests, so we remanded it to county court as Possession of Cannabis”
