Maxxine Dupri Involved in Heckling Incident at Recent WWE House Show Event

A recent WWE house show event earlier this month in Oakland, California featured Maxxine Dupri being heckled by several fans over the quality of her performance in a match against Nia Jax. This heckling continued as Durpri made her way backstage following the match.

Footage of this match was recently circulated online leading to negative backlash being directed towards Dupri’s hecklers and the hateful comments made against her.

Among those within WWE who came to the defense of Dupri and called out the fans for their actions that night were Rhea Ripley and Zelina Vega.

Dupri also received support from other wrestlers outside of WWE including AEW’s Britt Baker.

In a recent interview with WWE The Bump show, Drew McIntyre gave his thoughts about how he is not the only person who has a problem with CM Punk in WWE following Punk’s return this past November. McIntyre stated “I’m the only one that seems to have a problem with him because he’s been gone, he’s hurt. When he was there, there was lots of people with problems with him. But now that he’s not there, I’m the only one keeping his name alive. So that’s why. If he was there, there’s a crap ton of people that have a problem with CM Punk, trust me. Even if they’re not saying it publicly.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)

A recent episode of the Hot Ones Versus show featured Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch as the guests. I would rather suffer through this hot wing than say anything publicly nice about him. Yeah. This one’s for you, Punk. [Bites wing] Well here’s one thing I’ll say [that’s] nice about him. He’s a man of conviction, and so am I.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)

As noted before, Big E has been out of action for WWE since March of 2022 due to a broken neck injury. In a recent interview with WhatCulture Wrestling, Big E gave his thoughts about if he would be open to working in more non-wrestling roles in WWE. Big E stated “I think about my time starting off in the company, by no means was I considered a good talker. It took time for me to get more comfortable and what not. For me to be able to stand beside Punk [CM Punk], Cole [Michael Cole], Pat [Pat McAfee], all these guys who are great and natural talkers was really great. I appreciate all the positive feedback. It’s something that I definitely would consider. I still want to be involved with the company, regardless of what happens with my in-ring career moving forward. I’ve been with the company 15 years. 15 years of my life that I’ve been signed with this company, a job I took on a whim and it’s been such an integral part of my life. It’s definitely something I’m open to. There are some really great broadcasters. Vic [Vic Joseph] has done such an incredible job. It was speculated when things were getting shuffled around that maybe he gets moved up to Raw. I definitely want to make sure that I’m not in a position where Im trying to leapfrog anyone who deserves opportunities or anyone who has been grinding at it. If it makes sense and there are other panels or opportunities to come in, I’d love to. One of the issues is, the bar was set to high. My first time coming in was Vegas with this Rock thing. We have a lot of work to do to make sure every one (after) is as fulfilling and enjoyable. I’m definitely open to it. It means a lot to see all the positive feedback.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
