ROH Debuts New ROH Women’s Pure Title on Friday’s ROH TV Show
Friday’s episode of ROH TV on HonorClub featured Ring of Honor officially unveiling a new ROH Pure Women’s Championship belt.
During the backstage sitdown interview segment featuring Queen Aminata and Serena Deeb, it was announced that Aminata and Deeb will be facing off against each other in a First Round match for the inagural ROH Pure Women’s Championship tournament.
A tournament will be held to crown the FIRST-EVER ROH Women's Pure Champion with the first round match being @amisylle vs. @SerenaDeeb!

Fuego Del Sol Gets Unmasked Following Mask vs. Career Match Loss at GCW Joey Janela’s Spring Break 9 Event
Friday’s Joey Janela’s Spring Break 9 event for Game Changer Wrestling in Las Vegas, Nevada featured Attitus Cogar defeating Fuego Del Sol in a Mask vs. GCW career match.
As per stipulation, Del Sol removed his mask and handed it over to Cogar. Del Sol then removed his boots and left it in the ring leading to speculation by both the show’s commentary team and online fans of his wrestling career being potentially over.

Following his match, Del Sol reflected on Twitter about his loss and the end of his career as Fuego Del Sol.

Friday’s Joey Janela’s Spring Break 9 event for Game Changer Wrestling in Las Vegas, Nevada featured Sabu defeating Joey Janela in a No Ropes Barbed Wire match. This match was notable for being Sabu’s retirement match from wrestling. Following the match, Janela handed Sabu his Indie Hall of Fame plaque that was originally meant to be handed to during last year’s ceremony that Sabu ended up no showing.
As noted before, Jordan Oliver has been out of action for Game Changer Wrestling since this past July due to a torn ACL injury. Friday’s GCW Joey Janela’s Spring Break 9 event in Las Vegas featured Oliver making his surprise return. Oliver was revealed to be Alec Price’s mystery partner for their match against Violence Is Forever (Dominic Garrini & Kevin Ku) for the GCW World Tag Team Championship, which was won by Price & Oliver.
As noted before, Jeff Cobb will be leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling after this weekend and WWE currently has strong interest in potentially signing him. Friday’s Road to Wrestling Dontaku 2025 event in Tokyo, Japan featured Cobb competing in his final match of his NJPW career. Cobb competed in a singles match against Hiroshi Tanahashi, which was won by Tanahashi. Following the match, Tanahashi and Cobb shook hands and hugged in the ring.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that his sources stated that NJPW officials and multiple talents knew of Cobb’s decision to leave the company as early as one month ago.
As noted before, Tetsuya Naito will be leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling after their Wrestling Dontaku 2025 Night 2 event on May 4th due to the two sides not being able to come to terms for a new contract. In a recent new post on his diary page on NJPW’s official website, Naito gave his thoughts about him having no regrets about his decision to leave the company. Naito stated “Since the announcement, I’ve been getting a lot of calls (phone calls, emails, LINE)… I feel happy that I’m getting such a good response. However, I have no hesitation or regret because I have already made up my mind. My last series with New Japan Pro Wrestling is about to start. I wonder how I will feel after the Fukuoka event on May 4th? There are expectations and anxiety. But no regrets. Only 12 (events) left.“
Ring of Honor announced that The Righteous (Dutch & Vincent) and The Kingdom (Mike Bennett & Matt Taven) will be making their return appearances to ROH at next week’s ROH TV show on April 24th on HonorClub.

This past Thursday’s PROGRESS Las Vegas event for PROGRESS Wrestling in Las Vegas, Nevada featured Paul Walter Hauser defeating Adam Priest, Charles Crowley, EFFY, and Simon Miller in a Five-way match to become the new PROGRESS Proteus Champion.
In a recent Fanatics Live Signing event, AJ Styles gave his thoughts about his interest in a potential return to TNA Wrestling in the future for one last match. Styles stated “I love it. You know, I still have a couple of friends there. I would love to have the opportunity to go back and wrestle at least one more match at TNA.” Styles also gave his thoughts about who would be his choice for this potential final match.
