Jamie Hayter Comments on How Past Back Injury “Spooked” Her Confidence for Her Return

The Undisputed held a recent interview with Jamie Hayter. One of the topics discussed included Hayter’s thoughts about how her past back injury and lengthy recovery had “spooked” her confidence for her return to AEW until recently.

“The injury, it rattled my whole world. I truly didn’t know how long I was going to be out or if I could even come back to wrestling. Even after I came back, I didn’t feel right. I don’t mean physically. It’s just the injury spooked me, it affected my confidence. I’ve been back for eight months, and now I’m finally starting to feel like myself again. When I’m in the ring, I know who I am again.”

Kyle Fletcher Comments on How AEW Running Intimate Venues Makes Experience Better for Everybody

Q101 held a recent interview with Kyle Fletcher and Skye Blue. One of the topics discussed included Fletcher’s thoughts about how AEW running smaller intimate venues has reignited a lot of people’s passion for wrestling backstage and has made the crowd atmosphere for shows better.

“With wrestling, the crowd makes it. It doesn’t exist without the crowd. I think these venues, it’s really reignited a lot of people’s passion backstage, I want to say. Look, when you’re wrestling in arenas, it’s a different feeling. But when you have these weird, wacky balconies up here and theaters, and all this, it really brings out a different feeling to an arena. Just that atmosphere, you can’t replicate it. It’s really brought alive the wrestler’s passion again, I want to say. Because everyone’s just so excited to get out there, so excited to be in the ring. We’re so blessed to have awesome fans we get to wrestle in front of. Bringing that intimate atmosphere, it makes the experience better for everybody.”

Zack Gowen Comments on His Upcoming Ricochet Match at AEW’s Dynamite Beach Break 2025 Show

Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown on SI held a recent interview with former WWE wrestler Zack Gowen. One of the topics discussed included Gowen’s thoughts about him grateful for AEW giving him the chance to be in the spotlight again in wrestling.

“Listen, I’m 40. I’m a 42 year old, tax paying father of four. That’s what I’m saying. I’m a suburban dad, brother. And the fact that over the past three or four days this has happened, this is just wild to me, but I’m so grateful.

I haven’t been on a national platform like this since I was 20 years old in WWE. So, the fact that this is happening now at 42-years-old, this age, this maturity level, I have such a greater appreciation for the gift that’s being presented to me than I than I could have ever done when I was 20 years old. So at the foundation of everything that I do, it’s gratitude.”

Gowen also gave his thoughts about the process that led to his appearance in AEW at this past Thursday’s AEW Collision show.

“I saw that a gentleman by the name of Kevin Matthews, who’s a producer and agent for AEW, an old friend of mine and a lifelong supporter of mine as well. He’s done good by me throughout the years. I saw that he was in town in Detroit, my hometown for AEW, so I hit him up and I said, Hey, man, do you want to go to lunch?

He just started pitching these ideas, which fired up my imagination, and it got me thinking. It got me hyped up and so really, it’s from that relationship that I have with Kevin and a lot of those guys that work backstage and that was able to bring it to fruition.”

Gowen also gave his thoughts about his upcoming match against Ricochet.

“I’m absolutely looking forward to get getting in the ring with him, because Ricochet is the best wrestler in the world. I’ve said that for a long, long time. I saw him put on an absolute clinic — must have been 2016 or 2015 somewhere in New York. He wrestled the Amazing Red and was one of the best matches I’ve ever seen live.”
