AEW: Bryan Danielson on Not Being Cleared to Wrestle, Hikaru Shida AEW Abscense & Visa Renewal Update, Dralistico Responds About LFI Not Being Part Of AEW Grand Slam Mexico

Bryan Danielson Comments on Not Being Cleared to Wrestle

Bryan Danielson has been absent from AEW since his full-time in-ring retirement match at this past October’s WrestleDream 2024 event. Danielson has yet to undergo neck surgery to repair his neck and has been considering other options instead.

A recent episode of The Daly Migs Show podcast featured Danielson as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Danielson giving his thoughts about the potential of him wrestling again in the future.

“I don’t know, but right now, I’m not cleared to wrestle. Even if I wanted to, if I said, ‘Hey, I’m going to be there.’ I will be there in Kent. I will be there live in front of the people, but probably not on television. It’ll just be for the people there live.”

Hikaru Shida AEW Abscense & Visa Renewal Status Update

As noted before, Hikaru Shida has been absent from AEW since this past November due to work visa-related issues.

In a recent YouTube stream, Shida provided an update stating that she is still working on getting a new visa and she is looking forward to making her comeback in AEW once it is resolved.

“I really hope to. Visa, especially nowadays, it’s getting hard. AEW has so many wrestlers and the lawyer has to do so many things. I know it takes time. I hope I can go back to AEW soon. For now, I am enjoying my stay in Japan and getting more energy to wrestle in the US again. I’m looking forward to my comeback. Please wait and I’m so glad if you support me.”

Dralistico Responds About LFI Not Being Part Of AEW Grand Slam Mexico

In a recent response to fans, Dralistico stated that the reason why La Faccion Ingobernable (RUSH, Dralistico, & The Beast Mortos) is not scheduled for AEW’s upcoming Grand Slam Mexico show at the Arena Mexico is due to issues involving CMLL’s policies and rules.

“These are CMLL policies and rules that must be respected. We are comfortable where we are. If tomorrow Aew sends us to defend the flag, we will gladly do so. In the meantime, we apologize to all the fans who thought the L.F.I. would be at that event.”

In a separarte response to the same fan, Dralistico stated that it has nothing to do with LFI being banned by CMLL from events at their venue or featuring CMLL talents.

“That has nothing to do with it, there is freedom of expression. But whatever they do, we will remain firm in wrestling, fulfilling goals and dreams. Thank you for your support and those who don’t! Thank you too, you are the ones who inspire us to be better.”
