Backstage Update on Jordynne Grace Debuting New Entrance Song at 6/17 NXT Show

This past Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured Jordynne Grace debuting a new entrance theme song. This quickly led to a negative reaction from the live crowd who chanted “Fire Def Rebel” over their displeasure with the quality of the new entrance theme.

Figthful Select reported that their sources stated that one main reason why Grace’s entrance song was changed was due to Grace owning the theme music she used in TNA and during her early run in WWE’s NXT brand. It was reported that WWE have been adamant about owning the theme music that is used on their television shows.

Another reason for the change reportedly was due to Grace’s previous theme having sirens at the beginning in a homage to WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner. WWE officials reportedly decided to give priority to Bron Breakker due to him also having sirens at the beginning of his entrance theme song and him being related to Steiner.

Kairi Sane recently reflected on Twitter about Liv Morgan suffering a dislocated shoulder injury during their match at this past Monday’s WWE RAW show in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Sane statedOne of the most painful things for me is when a match is decided not by wrestling, but because of an injury. I always step into the ring with deep respect for my opponent, and I train hard every day to give the audience something they can truly enjoy. Even if it was never intentional, knowing that someone was hurt in a match with me is something I carry deeply. It breaks my heart. I hope with all my heart for a full and speedy recovery. I will continue to give my all, hoping to bring excitement—not pain—to the ring.

In a recent interview with the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast, former WWE talent Shotzi Blackheart gave her thoughts about the origin of her mini-tank entrance during her time in WWE. Shotzi stated “So I found this Mini Tank at Walmart, and I bought it for the Indies. I used it only on a couple of shows, because obviously I can’t travel with that tank, I don’t have the buses that WWE does. So for local shows, I would come out in the tank. There were actually some indie promotions that were like, we bought one for our show, and they would bring me in, and I’d have a little tank there, but I sent Hunter a video of my little mini Walmart tank, and he was like, ‘Can you get it to Full Sail tomorrow?’ And I was like, Oh, yes. And I ordered an Uber XL to get this Mini Tank over to Full Sail.” Shotzi also gave her thoughts about how she is currently in the process of trying to get her mini tank back from WWE to use for her post-WWE career in the indies. Shotzi stated “I’m still trying to get that tank back. Because Okay, so my little tank, they actually cut in half to make the bigger tank that you see on TV. So half of that is mine, which is the point that I made. I was like, ‘Can I have half of the tank, or maybe all of it?’ So, I mean, I’m willing to drive to Connecticut and get it out of the warehouse, if I have to.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
