Ron Killings Comments on His New Persona & Wanting People to Put Respect on His Name and Won’t Be Taken Advantage No More

A recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast featured Ron Killings as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Killings’ thoughts about comments made by co-host Bully Ray criticizing him for continuing to use the word “Truth” after cutting his braids for his gimmick change.

“Who the fuck he talking to? Who is he telling me who I am? I know who I am. I’m protecting him. Everybody has somebody trying to tell them who the fuck they are. I know who I am. I not the nice (guy). I’m driving now! Don’t let nobody tell you who you are. You know you better than anybody. I know me better than anybody. They better put some respect on my name. I am the truth. How are you gonna tell me why I cut my hair? I do what I want to do. It ain’t that nice time no more. I won’t be taken advantage of no more. Things are going to change around here. I’m driving now.

I don’t think people really understand. You’re gonna have a lot of people give their input and think they are the maestro of your life, emotions, and thoughts. Ain’t nobody the maestro of me or for me. I do me. I wish you would. I feel different. I feel more alive than I have ever felt. I’m driving now. Y’all can tell everybody that.”

This past Wednesday’s WWE Speed show featured Berto defeating Noam Dar in the Finals of WWE’s newest #1 Contender’s tournament for the WWE Speed Championship. Berto will be facing off against El Grande Americano for the WWE Speed Championship at next week’s show on June 18th.

This past Monday’s WWE RAW show in Phoenix, Arizona featured WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella making a return appearance and being involved in a promo segment with Liv Morgan. This promo segment was notable for Morgan referencing Bella’s real life divorce from Artem Chigvintsev. In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Bella gave her thoughts about Morgan bringing up her divorce in her promo. Bella stated “The beauty of how us women are and how empowering we are with each other is it’s done in a certain way, and that’s what I appreciate. And WWE has said that to me from the beginning. They’ve been so incredible of respecting my boundaries and my son, which is amazing.

In a recent response to a fan on Twitter, Natalya gave her thoughts about fans claiming online that she was demoted to WWE’s EVOLVE brand. This fan stated “@NatbyNature Got Demoted To @WWNEVOLVE 👀.” Natalya responded statingI very specifically asked to compete on this show for many reasons. Jayne stated “Oh, it’s super cool. I’m really excited about that. I remember watching the first Evolution pay-per-view, and I was like, ‘This is groundbreaking. An all-women’s show? WWE’s never done that before.’ It’s been years since we’ve done that and you know, we always say, ‘NXT has the best women’s division in the entire world’ so, I’m so happy that they’re having NXT be a part of this so we can show what our division is all about to an audience that maybe hasn’t seen us yet, and the fact that I get to represent us on that show, that’s huge for me, and I’m really excited and I’m not taking it lightly. Yeah, for sure (being the first name announced for Evolution lights a fire inside me). Definitely. Because I think everybody for a while was thinking, like, there were rumors about the Evolution pay-per-view but it didn’t get confirmed yet and then when it did get confirmed, there was rumors that NXT wasn’t even gonna be a part of it. Like, it was just gonna be a main roster show. So then, when they announced this this past Tuesday, everybody in the locker room is super happy about it. Just to have NXT be a part of that, that’s a huge win for us.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)

In a recent episode of the What Do You Want To Talk About podcast, host Cody Rhodes gave his thoughts about how him and Seth Rollins had stepped up and produced an event for WWE when the regular producers were unable to make it to the show. Rhodes stated “We had a situation where we needed to get to Omaha or get out of Omaha, and I thought I would be a big baller and save the day. There were no commercial flights going. I got the crew a jet and we were heading to El Paso. That was the trouble. We needed to get to El Paso from Nebraska in the middle of a snowstorm, and the only way we could do it was flying private. Ultimately, WWE stepped in and covered it for me … We had a show to do. No producers. Me and Seth, we were producers and it was a show that had a commission, so we actually had to do work. It wasn’t, ‘Hey, you’re good, we know your match. Hey, 12 minutes.’ None of that.” In response to guest Damian Priest praising Rhodes and Rollins work and how everyone took them seriously backstage, Rhodes stated “The best is I didn’t put the producers on the flight. I put the boys on the flight. We have to do the show. Love (the producers), but we had to do the show. Seth is doing it and doing an incredible job. Obviously, that’s in his future. I’m sure the world can figure that out.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
