As noted before, Gabe Kidd has been out of action for NJPW since last week due to a knee injury. Kidd had forfeited his G1 Climax 2025 tournament matches against Zack Sabre Jr. and Shingo Takagi as a result.
During tonight’s NJPW G1 Climax 2025 event in Tokyo, Japan, Kidd came out to the ring without the assistance of crutches. Kidd grabbed a microphone and stated that he was really hopeful of being able to come back and continue in the G1 Climax but after talking to his doctors, there is no way he can be cleared and had withdrawn from the tournament. Kidd then promised that when he returns, he will be the best version of Gabe Kidd that you will see.
