As noted before, WWE ID and WWE EVOLVE talent Zayda Steel departed from WWE this past October after not renewing her contract.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources stated that AEW officials have recently shown interest in Steel. Those spoken to reportedly stated that contact between Steel and AEW was made something in October but she has yet to be signed nor has a contract been offered as of this past week.
Sapp reported that under the terms of WWE ID deals, WWE would have matching rights if any company wants to sign ID contracted talent but this is something that would not apply to Steel due to she had left the company and is no longer under that type of deal.
