Kyle Fletcher Knee Injury Update
As noted before, this past Sunday’s AEW Double or Nothing 2026 event in Queens, New York featured Kyle Fletcher making his surprise return from injury and attacked Konosuke Takeshita to kick him out of the Don Callis Family. Prior to his return, Fletcher had been out of action since this past March due to a knee-related injury.
Fletcher recently released a new vlog on his official YouTube channel. One of the topics discussed included Fletcher revealing that he did not require surgery for his knee and was able to heal it normally for his recovery.
“I don’t have to have surgery. Awesome news. I was given initially 90 percent chance of surgery. No surgery required. Just healing.”
Fletcher also stated that he was cleared for in-ring training on May 15th and he was cleared to wrestle by his physical therapist shortly after which allowed him to begin the process of being officially cleared by AEW doctors.
Fletcher also gave his thoughts about his surprise return at Double or Nothing 2026.
“We’re back on the job. All of a sudden, it’s just — I’m back to being on the road, back to my old life. It’s very exciting. It feels like a chapter has closed today, and now I get to look forward. Bright horizons, happy days ahead. I get to go back to living my dream, loving life, traveling the world, and dropping people on their f***ing heads, which I love to do.”
