As noted before, Persephone is currently out of action for AEW and Ring of Honor since this past April’s AEW Collision Playoff Palooza 2026 show due to her suffering an “injury” after Julia Hart’s mist attack on her. Persephone was pulled from her scheduled ROH Women’s World Championship Survival of the Fittest match at ROH Supercard of Honor 2026 event as a result.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources confirmed that Hart’s mist attack on Persephone’s eyes was meant to act as a cover for a legit injury Persephone has been dealing with.
Meltzer reported that AEW officials original plans for Persephone was for her to be involved in a major match at their upcoming Double or Nothing 2026 event. Meltzer reported that it is currently believed that Persephone would have faced off against Thekla for the AEW Women’s World Championship at the event.
In regards to ROH, Meltzer reported that ROH also had major plans for Persephone for the ROH Women’s World Championship Survival of the Fittest match at their Supercard of Honor 2026 event on May 15th.
