As noted before, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns is no longer advertised to be making appearances at upcoming WWE RAW shows this June. Reigns being pulled from RAW shows was believed to be due to WWE officials not having plans for him to travel to Saudi Arabia for this June’s Night of Champions 2026 event and a clerical error causing him to be mistakenly advertised for those shows. Online rumors of Reigns’ potentially leaving WWE over issues related to his pulled dates and talent pay cuts was recently debunked.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Reigns was only advertised for the upcoming WWE RAW shows in June due to WWE officials do not always have their plans mapped out that far ahead of time. Meltzer reported that this is the reason why some stars who are advertised for shows won’t end up appearing on those shows.
Meltzer reported that if Reigns does lose the WWE World Championship to Jacob Fatu at Backlash 2026, then him being pulled from upcoming RAW shows would be a story but multiple sources spoken to stated that those were just dates he probably should not have been listed on to begin with since they were not final for the plans for him. Those same sources stated that this was why Reigns was quickly pulled from the advertising of those upcoming shows.
In regards to the rumors of Reigns was asked to take a pay cut, Meltzer reported that Reigns is “literally just about the last person in the company” who would have been asked to take a pay cut.
In regards to Reigns’ current work schedule, Meltzer reported that Reigns is currently scheduled to remain on RAW for most weeks through the end of this month due to him working the Backlash 2026 and Clash in Italy events. Reigns is scheduled to be off for Night of Champions 2026 in Saudi Arabia and won’t be on WWE television leading to that event but he is expected to return this July for the build for SummerSlam 2026.
